outside the studio.

This collection of work articulates my passion for making that extends past the typical confines of a design studio. I find art and creating to be my strongest form of self expression, and my hope is that this portfolio encapsulates that.

A passion piece discussing the connection of my inner child and their experiences to the person I am today. A good reminder to treat myself with the same kindness I would treat these younger versions of myself. Along the way I found beauty in the expression of change. I was struck by the visual of progression between each subject. The movement lines both physically connect the subjects, creating a sense of continuity. But also work to hold and empower the pain of past experiences, creating the fluster that follows each version of myself. From a younger age I can be seen searching for guidance from my older self. Whereas my older self is seen attempting to meet the viewers gaze, creating an interesting point of contact within the piece.
