My name is JB Leitko, I’m a recent Suffolk University graduate with a BFA in interior design. I’m looking forward to taking the next steps in my career! I approach interior design with an art background at the forefront, allowing my knack for making and drawing to lead the way throughout my design decisions.

I grew up in Oregon and widely attribute my time in the Pacific Northwest to much of my design and material inspiration. Having lived in a multitude of settings, I have a deep appreciation for how design can shape peoples’ livelihood and wellbeing. I carry these perspectives with me into all of my design work in effort to develop well-informed spaces that can bring communities together.

I have a deep fascination with the narratives of build-ins and how they can be used to develop functional and unique spaces. I continuously gravitate towards this crossover of furniture and architecture, often integrating such into my work. I believe that good design should be both historically informed and forward looking; meaning that the spaces I’m designing take a deep value in their lineage, while also promoting choices that encourage longevity.

In all aspects of my life, my goal is always to create more than I’m consuming. This mindset allows me to stay grounded and base my energy into the positive ways I can contribute to the world, as opposed to a more passive approach. I hope that you’ll see this passion within my work!
